Oakland police search for man suspected of sexually assaulting two women

OAKLAND, California. – Oakland police are searching for a man allegedly involved in two sexual assaults last month.

On Wednesday, police released a photo of 31-year-old Santieago Pratt of Oakland. He is suspected of sexually assaulting a 33-year-old woman shortly before 1 a.m. on May 27 in the 2000 block of 85th Avenue, according to OPD.

The following day, police said, Pratt kidnapped and assaulted a 37-year-old woman in the 1700 block of 40th Avenue at around 6:15 a.m.

Police said that based on their preliminary investigations, both incidents appeared to be linked to the same person. The police’s Special Victims Unit responded to both attacks.

Police have released a photo of the suspect and are asking the public for help in locating Pratt.

The kidnapped woman has been found safe and the investigation is ongoing.
