Rave party case: MAA suspends Hema

The Movie Artists Association (MAA) has decided to suspend actress Hema for her involvement in the recent Bengaluru Rave Party case.

According to reports, MAA president Manchu Vishnu sought the opinion of the members on Hema’s suspension last night and it is heard that most of them want her suspension. Following this, Vishnu has decided to suspend her from the association until she can provide a carte blanche in the case.

Earlier, Vishnu Manchu had tweeted that Hema should be considered innocent until proven guilty. He added that strict action would be taken against her if her involvement was proven. After her guilt was proven and she was sent to jail, Vishnu decided to suspend her.

A few weeks ago, Bengaluru police raided a farmhouse in Electronic City where a rave party was taking place. After arresting several people and seizing a considerable quantity of drugs, the police claimed that even Hema was involved in the case.

Hema initially denied her involvement and said she was not at the party. However, her flight tickets to Bengaluru and her blood samples, which tested positive for drugs, proved that she was at the party.

After her interrogation on June 3, the Bengaluru City Criminal Investigation Department remanded Hema in custody for 14 days.
