First Alert Forecast: Finally drier weather again

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – The first two days of CMA Fest are looking amazing!

A remaining shower in some places this morning will not last long. By the afternoon all showers will have cleared the area and the sun will return for the rest of the day. It will warm up with highs between 30 and 35 degrees this afternoon. It will be humid but not as unpleasant as the last few days.

Tonight it will be partly cloudy with lows around 15 degrees.

We’re expecting a picture-perfect Friday across the Midstate with plenty of sunshine, temperatures in the 80s and 85s, and low humidity in the afternoon. This looks like the best weather day of the week by far!

THIS WEEKEND

As we prepare for the weekend, we’ll need to watch for the return of some showers and thunder. Right now, it looks like the first shower won’t arrive until late Saturday and Saturday night, but most of the day itself looks dry. Highs Saturday afternoon will be around 80 degrees.

Sunday is more likely to see a few showers and even a rumble of thunder in the afternoon. I’m still not expecting any really heavy rain, but you’ll need to keep an eye on the skies whether you’re at CMA Fest or have other outdoor plans.

We will keep an eye on any changes to the forecast over the next few days.

NEXT WEEK

By Monday the weather will clear up again, daytime temperatures will be around 27 degrees and the sky will be partly cloudy.

Tuesday will be warmer with maximum temperatures around 30 degrees and mostly sunny.

On Wednesday the sun will continue to shine, with maximum temperatures between 30 and 35 degrees.
