Northern Valley man tracked down, statewide missing adult alert ended

James Dearwester, the 93-year-old Bellefontaine resident who was declared missing statewide, has been found, Bellefontaine police report.

A 93-year-old Bellefontaine man has been added to the statewide list of missing adults, the city’s police department announced Wednesday evening.

James Dearwester was last seen around 6 a.m. driving away from his home on South Evansville Street, police said. According to the report, Dearwester was still missing shortly after 5 p.m.

Law enforcement officials are concerned for his safety, although no details have been released publicly.

Dearwester is white, 5’10” tall and weighs 165 pounds. He has gray hair and blue eyes.

The vehicle in question is a silver 2015 Buick Verano with the Ohio license plate JVJ1200.
