Ringtown Valley man dies in lawnmower accident

UNION TOWNSHIP – A man from the valley died in a lawnmower accident on Wednesday, fire officials said.

Ringtown Valley Fire Chief Joseph Gilbert said his company was called to a home on Brandonville Road east of Ringtown around noon.

There, a man was trapped under a fallen lawnmower in a nearby stream.

A Schuylkill County deputy coroner pronounced him dead at the scene.

His identity was not disclosed on Wednesday.
