Lauderdale Co. Deputy David Terry, woman killed in accident

FLORENCE, Ala. (WAFF) – A man and woman are dead after an accident that occurred on part of Florence Blvd. led, died. remain closed on Tuesday afternoon.

Lauderdale County Coroner Kim Jones identified the male victim as Lauderdale County Deputy David Terry.

Officials confirmed Terry was with the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office for over 20 years. For the past year, he served as director of corrections.

Terry was scheduled to retire from the sheriff’s office in July.

At this time, the female victim has not been identified.
