Stefon Diggs Reveals His True Feelings With Josh Allen After Bills Trade

NFL

Stefon Diggs isn’t letting his trade to Buffalo ruin his relationship with Josh Allen.

Speaking for the first time since being dealt to the Texans, Diggs spoke Tuesday about his relationship with his former Bills quarterback.

“He played a complex role in my career,” Diggs said of Allen, according to NFL.com. “…When I left Minnesota, I was a good player. But I always felt more for myself. I felt like I was better than that – that I could be better than that. And up until then, I was just like ‘S—. I’m going to roll the dice and bet on myself.

“When I got to Buffalo, Josh was and still is my guy. People don’t really understand what it’s like to be there. He really kissed me. He kind of had that Southern hospitality. We spent a lot of time together and I probably wouldn’t be here without him. I have a lot of love for this boy, so give him a hug and a kiss for me.

There has been a lot of speculation about the receiver’s relationship with Allen and the team dating back to 2023, when the Bills were eliminated by the Bengals in the divisional round.

During this game, Diggs and Allen were seen having a heated exchange on the sidelines.

Last June, Diggs failed to show up for the first day of Buffalo’s mandatory minicamp and the Boston Globe reported shortly after that at the time he was unhappy with the Bills.

A month later, Diggs said, “It’s all water under the bridge,” although rumors about his future swirled around the team throughout the season.

Diggs caught 107 passes for 1,183 yards and eight touchdowns as the Bills went 11-6 during the regular season before losing to the eventual champion Chiefs in the divisional round in January.

Buffalo received a 2025 second-rounder from the Texans in exchange for Diggs – who was just two years away from signing a four-year, $96 million contract extension with Buffalo at the era.

“I can’t begin to express all the love and respect I have for the city of Buffalo,” Diggs said on Instagram after the trade.

“Four of the best years of my life, the city welcomed me with open arms. I am forever grateful to all of you and the organization (Buffalo Bills)! Something special has been built over these years with very special men, who will always have a place in my heart.

“Billsmafia, so many great memories made over the years. These games were crazy because of you. Unfortunately, good things come to an end until we meet again.
