Bay City man arrested for child sexual abuse

Jacob Paul Luther Bentley, 39, of Bay City, was arrested Monday and booked into the Washington County Jail. He is charged with 12 counts of first-degree sexual abuse and two counts of using a child in a sexually explicit performance.

During the investigation, the investigator learned of two other children who also reported that Bentley had abused them. The reported abuse occurred in both Washington and Tillamook County.

The investigation is ongoing, and according to the press release, more charges are possible in the future. So far, four children have reported that Bentley abused them when they were not yet 10 years old.
