Houston police respond to Tanglewilde apartment complex after officer shoots suspect, HPD says

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — The Houston Police Department is responding to an apartment complex on the city’s west side amid reports that an officer discharged a weapon Wednesday afternoon.

HPD said its investigation is taking place at the Flats on Tanglewilde apartment complex, located at 2630 Tanglewilde St., in the Mid-West neighborhood. A call about the shooting came in at 3:30 p.m.

HPD could only provide preliminary information about the officer opening fire and a suspect being struck.

Commanders and the public information officer are also attending the scene.
