The local number claims to be a Taylor County Sheriff’s Office officer; what you should do

TAYLOR COUNTY, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – The Taylor County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) issued a scam alert on Wednesday that a fictitious sergeant is calling residents about paperwork.

In the scam alert, TCSO said a caller from a local number introduced himself as Sergeant Travis Gloyd and said he wanted to discuss some paperwork.

TCSO would like to remind all Taylor County residents that the office will never call a resident to demand money over the phone.

If you receive this call, you should hang up and call (325) 674-1300 to relay and confirm the appropriate information to the TCSO.
