GoFundMe page created for CCL holder attacked outside home in Belmont Cragin

CHICAGO — A GoFundMe page was created for a CCL holder after he was attacked outside his home in Belmont Cragin Sunday evening.

According to the organizer, the man has been a resident of his home for 16 years and has never had issues with any of his neighbors and has never had to disclose a firearm.

“Anyone familiar with the family knows that he is a reasonable and hard-working family man who spends all of his free time with his wife and kids.”

According to the CPD, the man was standing outside his home when three men began to attack him after an altercation. The man, a CCL holder, fired shots.

Three men were transported to the hospital in critical condition.

The CC holder sustained blunt force trauma to the head and body and was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

The GoFundMe page was set up to help cover legal and medical expenses.
