1 person arrested after shooting and police chase in northwest Oklahoma City

A shooting in northwest Oklahoma City led to a chase that ended with a single arrest, police said.

Oklahoma City police said they were called to a shooting near North Western Avenue and Northwest 122nd Street, where a victim was taken to the hospital by private vehicle.

James Harper was arrested after fleeing the scene, sending police on a chase.

According to OCPD, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol was called in to assist, with OHP ultimately conducting a tactical maneuver to end the pursuit near Northwest 63rd Street and Interstate 235.

According to police, the shooting victim is doing well.
