Kingston Police investigate Mead Street murder

KINGSTON, NY (NEWS10) — Kingston Police announced they are investigating a homicide that occurred on June 2. It occurred on Mead Street in Kingston.

Police said they responded to a report of a dead person at 11 Mead Street at approximately 2:11 p.m. Police said they found 71-year-old Rieke Guercio dead at the scene, suffering from blunt force trauma and injuries from an edged weapon.

According to their own statements, the police were unable to identify any threat to public safety during their investigation. The investigation is still ongoing.
