Colleton County officials make arrests in triple murder investigation

COLLETON COUNTY, SC (WCBD) – A 31-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a triple homicide in Colleton County.

Jameek Glover, 31, was charged with three counts of aiding and abetting murder.

Officers with the Colleton County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home on Hayden Street in the early morning hours of May 18 after receiving reports of three dead victims. All three were shot in what officials described as a targeted attack.

The victims were identified as 49-year-old Harvel Breland, 43-year-old Alisha Gardner and a two-year-old child.

Shortly after the murders, detectives released an image of a vehicle they believed was involved in the incident. The vehicle was found and identified as being registered to Glover, according to the sheriff’s office.

Officials said video surveillance from the area and evidence indicated Glover arrested two co-defendants directly responsible for the murders and drove away from the scene.

The shooting remains under investigation and investigators are still gathering evidence. “The Colleton County Sheriff’s Office is working diligently to bring the remaining co-defendants to justice,” the department said.

Glover was denied bail and remains incarcerated at the Colleton County Detention Center.
