Man wanted for raping woman at knifepoint during robbery in Queens

NEW YORK (1010 WIN/WCBS 880) – Police are searching for a knife-wielding man who allegedly raped and robbed a woman in a Queens store last week.

The New York Police Department on Wednesday released footage of the suspect wanted in connection with last Thursday’s gruesome sex crime in Murray Hill.

The 37-year-old victim was inside a commercial building in the area of ​​162nd Street and Northern Boulevard around 10 p.m. when the man pulled out a knife and attacked her, police said.

According to police, he raped her and then stole cash and other valuables before fleeing on foot.

The victim was taken to New York-Presbyterian Queens, where her condition was listed as stable.
