Driver killed in crash on Highway 101 in San Jose

SAN JOSE – A crash Tuesday evening on Highway 101 in San Jose left one person dead, authorities said.

The solo-vehicle collision occurred in the northbound lanes of the highway at Trimble Road about 8:30 p.m., California Highway Patrol Officer Ross Lee said.

Further details about the crash were not immediately available.

The on- and off-ramps from Highway 101 to and from Trimble Road and State Route 87 to Trimble Road were closed as of 10:20 p.m., the CHP said in a social media post.
