Accident blocks part of I-20 near exit 90

An accident on Interstate 20 just west of Exit 90 is blocking traffic. The Covington-Newton County 911 Center reports both eastbound and westbound lanes are closed. According to a police official, a car rolled over on the interstate near Mama Maria’s.

A News employee traveling on the highway reported that eastbound traffic was moving very slowly in the area and that westbound traffic appeared to have come to a standstill. Emergency dispatch is advising people to use an alternate route.
