Terrence Beasor, actor in “Walk Hard” and “The Middle”, dies at the age of 89

Terrence Beasor, a veteran actor known for his roles in “Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story” and “The Middle,” has died at the age of 89.

Beasor was reportedly at his home in Santa Monica, California, with his longtime wife, actress Muriel Minot, when he died on May 28, a spokesperson told Deadline on Tuesday.

The couple were married for over 55 years and met when Beasor was performing at the Equity Library Theater in New York City.

They then settled in Concord, Massachusetts, and directed numerous shows together in the Boston area for seven years before moving to Los Angeles in 1976.

Together they appeared on shows such as “Days of Our Lives,” “The Practice,” and “Gangster Chronicles,” as well as in various commercials and stage plays.

Beasor has appeared in numerous television series, including Cheers, Parks and Recreation, The Incredible Hulk, Scandal, Scrubs, Gilmore Girls, and Murder, She Wrote.

Over the course of his 40-year career, he has also worked as a voice actor and has appeared in the series “Star Trek,” “Winchell,” and “Jaws: The Reckoning.”

Beasor was born in Omaha, Nebraska in 1935 and grew up in Los Angeles from the age of seven until he graduated from high school.

He also served in the Navy for four years and performed for many years at the Pasadena Playhouse before moving to New York at the age of 30.
