Robert Stannard banned retroactively for four years in 2018 doping case

A verdict has finally been reached in a doping case against Australian Robert Stannard, which dates back to 2018: The UCI announced on Tuesday that the 25-year-old has been retroactively banned for four years.

The UCI Anti-Doping Tribunal set the start of Stannard’s suspension as 17 August 2018, the date of the first anomaly in his Athlete Biological Passport (ABP), which means the Australian is eligible to compete immediately. He currently has no team as his contract with Alpecin-Deceuninck expires in 2023.
