Student charged in plot to attack North Texas school – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

A total of three students were found responsible for a document that district officials said they had worked on. It outlined a plan to attack a middle school and named 32 students and staff as targets, according to a letter Northwest ISD sent to families Monday.

According to the district, all three were charged with terroristic threats.

Other students were also involved in the investigation, but it was not determined that they were involved in a terrorist threat, the district said.

In a statement obtained by NBC 5, Northwest ISD said a parent alerted Truett Wilson Middle School administrators to a “concerning document” on Wednesday, May 1, and that in reviewing the report, the district had a detailed plan for discovered an attack on campus.

Northwest ISD confirmed the online document also included a “watch list” of 25 students and seven staff members at Wilson Middle School.

The district cooperated with Fort Worth police in the investigation.
