74-year-old woman declared dead found alive in funeral home | Trending

An elderly woman who was pronounced dead at a hospice reportedly came back to life after being taken to a funeral home. A funeral home employee reportedly noticed the 74-year-old was breathing and performed CPR on her. Her death had been pronounced two hours before this incident.

“A doctor has examined her within the last seven days and is willing to sign the death certificate and confirm that there were no suspicious details at the time of death – all of which are true,” the chief sheriff of Lancaster County, Nebraska, told CNN.

DailyMail also shared an Instagram video in which the sheriff’s office provides information about the incident. “Constance Glantz, 74, was pronounced dead in hospice care and taken to a funeral home in Nebraska,” the outlet wrote.

“A staff member was laying her on the table to prepare her body when they noticed she was still breathing. Staff began performing CPR on Glantz before transporting her to a local hospital. The sheriff’s office says it has not found any criminal intent on the part of the nursing home, but the investigation is ongoing,” the outlet added.

“So far, we have not been able to determine any criminal intent on the part of the nursing home, but the investigation is ongoing,” Chief Deputy Ben Houchin told CNN, adding, “I’m sure the nursing home and everyone else will look at what happened, and I’m sure they will look to see if new protocols need to be put in place and whether those were all followed.”
