The Wright family mourns an unimaginable loss.

Levi Wright, the three-year-old son of rodeo star Spencer Wright and his wife Kallie Wright, passed away on June 2, a close family friend confirmed on social media on June 3.

“I can’t even describe how hard the last two weeks have been,” Mindy Sue Clark wrote in a Facebook post on June 3. “From the moment my phone rang the night of his accident to last night when I got the news that he had to go. I don’t want to focus on the bad or sad, even though it feels like someone ripped out my heart and crushed it right in front of my eyes.”

Clark continued to praise the community that had gathered in support of Levi, saying, “I want to focus on the many miracles that we were all able to witness during these 12 days.”

“The response to Levi’s story has been absolutely incredible,” she continued. “How many people have told us that our names were constantly in their social media search bars waiting for updates. Hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of people surrounded our best little buddy, praying for him and giving Levi and his family a loving hug.”

Mindy noted that she will always be grateful to be his “Aunt Mindy” and concluded, “I love you, Beans! I’m going to miss you like crazy, buddy!”

Celebrity Deaths: The Fallen Stars of 2024

The toddler died two weeks after accidentally driving his toy tractor into a river in Utah.

According to a May 21 statement from the Beaver County Sheriff’s Office, rescue workers were able to find the boy and perform life-saving measures “on the scene” before transporting him to a local hospital. Levi was later flown by helicopter to a children’s hospital for further treatment as his condition remained critical.

Afterwards, Kallie – who also has daughter Steeley, 5, and son Brae, 9 months, with Spencer – posted updates on Levi’s condition, noting on her Facebook page on May 24 that he had “opened his eyes for a while.”

However, later that day, Kallie told her supporters that Levi’s MRI was “not good.”

“We are devastated, but these are just images that suggest a certain quality of life,” she wrote. “What Levi does in the next few days will really tell us.”

In another heartbreaking update on June 2, Kallie announced that Levi would be taken off life support.

“After several sleepless nights, a lot of research, numerous conversations with the best neurologists in the world and millions of prayers, here we are, facing our greatest fear,” she wrote on Facebook. “Levi showed us just enough to buy us time to do all of this. We prayed that this would defy all odds and prove to us that he wanted to stay here, but now we see that he wanted to give us time to come to terms with letting him go.”

“I told you my baby is thoughtful and attentive, and I truly believe he did that for us,” Kallie continued. “During that time, he expressed humanity across the country, he brought so many to their knees and reminded them what really matters in this world.”

She added that she would soon climb into bed with Levi as he fell asleep for the last time.

“It brings me comfort to know that he will go back to being the perfect little boy he was and that he will be able to do all the things he loves!” she concluded. “I know there are angels up there waiting to hold him until I can again! We will miss him every second of every day down here, but we are convinced this is the best thing we can do for him! We love you, baby beans, and I can’t wait for the day when you can ‘work the soil’ with me again!”
