France Galop bans trainer Fabrice Vermeulen for three months

Fabrice Vermeulen | Shovel Dyga

French trainer Fabrice Vermeulen has been suspended by France Galop for three months. Day of gallop was reported on Tuesday. He has four days to appeal the suspension.

The decision was taken by France Galop following an inspection of Vermeulen’s stable on March 11, 2024, where the FNCH veterinarian noted the existence of a prescription for intra-articular infiltration of a biological substance (hyaluronic acid) issued on January 21, 2024 for Indyco (Fr) (Rio De La Plata). This horse ran in Cagnes on January 29, 2024. However, eight days before the race, this substance is prohibited.
