1 dead, 4 injured in head-on collision in Placentia – NBC Los Angeles

One person died and four others were injured in a brutal collision between two cars in Placentia early Tuesday morning.

Shortly after 8:00 a.m., police were called to the head-on collision at the intersection of Yorba Linda Boulevard and Valencia Avenue.

According to Placentia Police, the driver of one of the vehicles, a minor, sustained serious injuries and was trapped inside the vehicle. He was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The passenger, also a minor, was able to exit the car on his own and was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

In the other vehicle were a 39-year-old driver and two passengers. All three were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
