2 people arrested after teens fired air rifles at crowd near St. Pete Pier

St. Pete police made two arrests after several juveniles showed up in downtown St. Pete with toy gel blast guns and fired into a crowd. According to St. Pete Police Chief Holloway, 200 juveniles gathered in downtown St. Pete near the St. Pete Pier on June 1. Several of the juveniles had toy gel blast guns. Authorities said the juveniles fired into a crowd, hitting two people near the pier. Gervaris Small, 22, then began hitting a 14-year-old in a vehicle. The 14-year-old fired out the window as they drove on Beach Drive NE. The 14-year-old in the vehicle fired at a police horse, hitting the horse in the eye.
