First Alert Forecast: Unstable until Wednesday

UNTIL WEDNESDAY:

There will be isolated showers and thunderstorms until the evening. By 5:30 p.m., one or two storms could become strong over eastern Middle Tennessee, although the probability is low. The First Alert Weather Day will continue until then..

Late tonight, more rain and storms will move in from the west. Low: 71.

Wednesday will be mostly cloudy with some sunny spells. Additional showers and thunderstorms will move through Middle Tennessee, so be prepared for rain at any time. The biggest threat will be heavy downpours that will create puddles and short-term poor travel conditions. High: 83.

Further isolated showers and thunderstorms are also likely during the night into Wednesday.

THURSDAY:

Thursday will be brighter and hotter than previous days. A passing shower or thunderstorm late in the day is possible, but most will avoid that. 20% chance of rain. Humidity will begin to drop Thursday afternoon, but most will have to wait until Friday to feel that change.

FRIDAY & THIS WEEKEND:

Weather-wise, Friday will be the nicest day of the week. Expect lots of sunshine, low humidity and no rain.

Saturday will also start out quite pleasantly, but clouds will move in in the afternoon. A few showers are possible later in the day and at night, especially west of Nashville.

Sunday looks generally nice as well. Humidity will increase a bit. It will be hot with only a 30% chance of rain. High: 85.

NEXT WEEK:

Monday and Tuesday next week seem quite pleasant at the moment.

There is a 20 percent chance of rain/thunderstorms on Monday.

Dry weather is expected throughout the area on Tuesday.
