“Liar, manipulator”: Victims criticize middle school coach who sexually abused young girls in hearing – WSB-TV Channel 2

FULTON COUNTY, Georgia – A former middle school teacher has admitted to sexually abusing young girls.

He has since been sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole.

Tom Regan from Channel 2 was in Hapeville on Tuesday, where one of the victims testified at a hearing about the impact the abuse had on her life.

Coach Jomarcus Collins was initially a trusted mentor and role model at Hapeville Charter Middle Schools. Prosecutors said Collins sexually abused at least four young girls, possibly more, since 2018.

At a hearing on Tuesday morning, a victim’s attorney read statements from several victims.

Another victim, now 19, said Collins tricked her into a years-long sexual relationship, beginning when she was 13.
