Woman attacks teenager at IHOP in North Miami Beach, other person hit in the head with syrup bottle

NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Florida. – A 34-year-old woman was arrested Monday after attacking a 14-year-old girl at an IHOP in North Miami Beach, authorities said.

The incident was reported shortly after 10:15 p.m. from the International House of Pancakes branch at 1101 NE 163rd St.

According to the suspects’ police report, the victim told police that she and her family were eating at the restaurant when Precious Williams approached her and accused her of “talking badly about her four young children.”

The victim said she and her family told Williams they had not said anything bad about their children, but Williams refused to listen and rushed at the teenager, grabbing her by the hair and screaming at her.

According to the report, the teenager then pulled Williams’ hair to get her to stop the attacks, and the victim’s family and Williams’ husband eventually separated the two.

According to police, Williams claimed that one of her children, aged between three and eight, told her that someone at the victim’s table called her a “n*****.”

According to the report, Williams told police that she told her child to ignore it, but eventually confronted the teen and her family to find out what was said.

She claimed that the teenager suddenly pushed her, whereupon she grabbed her by the hair and started a fight.

However, police said the entire altercation was recorded on cellphone video and shows Williams standing over the seated teen and yelling at her before attacking the victim for seemingly no reason.

Another person was also hit on the head with a syrup bottle by an unknown person as the two groups tried to separate them, the report said.

According to police, two restaurant employees said Williams was initially upset because she believed someone at the victim’s table had called her children “bad.” However, neither employee had heard any comments being made about Williams’ children.

According to the report, staff expressed concern for the four children and said Williams did not check on her children after the fight.

Williams was eventually arrested on one count of child abuse without serious bodily harm and four counts of child neglect without serious bodily harm.
