75-year-old woman killed in accident in Over-the-Rhine

CINCINNATI (WXIX) — A 75-year-old woman was killed in a crash in Over-The-Rhine on Tuesday, according to Cincinnati police.

According to a statement from Cincinnati police, the accident occurred in the 1100 block of Central Parkway around 3:15 p.m.

The woman was driving a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze eastbound on West Liberty Street at Central Parkway. The driver ran the red light and collided with two vehicles at the intersection, causing minor damage.

The driver turned south on Central Parkway and drove the wrong way in the northbound lane before leaving the roadway near West 12th Street and crashing into a building.

The woman was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where she later died.

According to police, she was not wearing a seatbelt.
