“Felicity” actor Erich Anderson dies at the age of 67 after battle with cancer

Relatives mourn Eric Anderson.

The bliss Alum – who played Felicity’s father Dr. Edward Porter in the series – died on June 1 after a battle with cancer, his wife Saxon coach confirmed on Instagram. He was 67.

Saxon, who married Erich in 2003, shared a photo of him and some words from her brother-in-law Michael O’Malleyand noted that she was too desperate to write anything.

“He had a long, successful career as an actor,” Michael reflected in the June 1 Instagram caption. “He was on that old show Mid-thirties; he was Felicity’s father on bliss; he was found in a basement in a Friday the 13th Film: He was on Star Trek and dozens of other shows. He was a smart and funny guy, a fantastic cook; he wrote three great novels that you can find on Amazon. I will miss him, but his ordeal is over.”

Erich experienced his breakthrough in 1984 with a role in Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter and later played in shows like 7th Heaven, X-Files And NYPD Blue.
