Teenager injured in road rage incident on I-80/94 on Monday

A juvenile suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound in a driving rage incident on Interstate 80/94 east of the Illinois border Monday afternoon, according to a news release from the Indiana State Police Lowell Police Department.

On June 3, at approximately 3:25 p.m., police officers were dispatched to the 7000 block of Madison Street in Hammond to investigate a report of a shooting that had occurred on I-80/94 near Calumet Avenue.

The teenager was injured in an incident of road rage at the construction site east of the Indiana-Illinois border, police said.

The Indiana State Police Criminal Investigation Division arrived at the scene and is working on the investigation. Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact Detective Chris Eagles at 219-696-6242.
