Palm Bay man allegedly broke into church with sledgehammer and attacked police officers – WFTV

PALM BAY, Fla. – A Palm Bay man faces multiple charges for causing $10,000 in damage to a church.

The incident occurred Saturday afternoon at the Mission Church on Colonial Drive.

Palm Bay Police responded to a call about a man breaking into the church with a sledgehammer.

Timothy Bornmam was arrested at the scene after attempting to hit a police officer with a Stanley Cup.

He is in the Brevard County Jail facing several charges, including resisting justice, assault on a police officer and burglary.
