Woman sexually harassed in Huddersfield street

West Yorkshire Police are investigating a serious sexual assault on a woman in Huddersfield in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

The crime is said to have occurred between 00:00 (BST) and 00:30 (BST) on Great Northern Street.

A police spokesman said: “The investigation is still at an early stage. Extensive enquiries are currently underway to clarify the circumstances of the incident and identify the suspect involved.”

“The victim is currently being cared for by specially trained officers.”
