Honduras: Teacher arrested for raping another man

Authorities in Honduras reported on June 2, 2024 that a 24-year-old teacher from the Porvenir Sur neighborhood of Juticalpa, Olancho, was arrested for the rape of another man.

While the report provided few details, officials said courts in Olancho issued an arrest warrant for the crime of qualified aggravated rape on April 3, 2024.

After completing the relevant searches, the Police Investigation Directorate arrested the man on Los Poetas Boulevard, Juticalpa, Olancho.

The man must now stand trial for aggravated rape.

Commenting on the arrest, authorities said: “The DPI continues to conduct raids to remove individuals who have outstanding legal issues in the country.”
