Mix it up at this margarita festival in Houston this weekend

Mix it up this weekend at the HTX Margarita Festival. The Houston festival is expected to take over the Memorial Trail Ice House on Saturday June 8with an intoxicating mix of vendors, food trucks, live music and more.

Is there anything better than a cold margarita on a hot day? Whether or not you’ve already toured Houston’s best margarita bars and/or made the pilgrimage to the Houston area’s Margaritaville Resort, you can pay homage to what is arguably Houston’s most questionable cocktail at Margarita HTX Festival this weekend.

Kicking off at 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 8, the Houston Margarita Festival is a one day event which gives visitors the opportunity to sample of more than 10 margaritas from some of Houston’s best bars and restaurants.

Festival-goers will then be able to vote for their favoritesthe one that will be counted at the end of the festival: the seller with the most tokens will be crowned the winner.

Additionally, the festival will feature live music, food trucks and street tacos, as well as a beer garden, adult play area, and the chance to win an all-inclusive vacation getaway to Mexico.

Regarding the getaway to Mexico, ticket buyers will automatically receive entry; VIP ticket buyers will receive two entries. If you wish, you can purchase more entries at $5 each. The company states that ALL PROCEEDS will be donated to the Alexiam Foundation, which benefits children’s charities.

Tickets for the HTX Margarita Festival are now on sale, with several options available. Tickets start at $20 for admission without sampling – this includes entry but not a food and drink sampling pass.

Admission to sampling is at the price of $41 (+ fees)granting entry at 7 p.m. with a sampling card for 10 margaritas, a voting token and entry into the drawing.

VIP passes are also available, starting at $56 (+ fees) which includes early access (4 p.m.), sample card, voting token, and two raffle entries.

The Houston Margarita Festival runs from 4 p.m. – 10 p.m. on Saturday, June 8 at the Memorial Trail Ice House located at 6202 Washington Avenue near memorial park.
