27-year-old Bryan Rodriguez-Duran dead after drunk driving accident in Yuba City

YUBA CITY, CA (June 4, 2024) – Authorities identified 27-year-old Bryan Alejandro Rodriguez-Duran from Colusa as the man who died in a suspected drunk driving accident on Highway 20 on Sunday evening.

According to Yuba City Police, the incident occurred on June 2 at approximately 8:42 p.m. A white Honda Crosstour allegedly ran a stop sign and then continued east in the westbound lanes of Highway 20.

A short time later, the Honda collided head-on with a Ford F150 near El Margarita Road.

Emergency crews took six people in the Ford to Adventist Rideout Hospital and Sutter Roseville Hospital. One of the people, Rodriguez-Duran, was later pronounced dead.

The Honda driver, identified as 39 years old Chloe Tokuno-Fraleyand her four-year-old passenger suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators suspect Tokuno-Fraley was driving under the influence of alcohol. Yuba City Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the fatal accident.
