Pedestrian killed in accident on Monday evening

PORTLAND, Oregon (KOIN) – A pedestrian was killed in an accident late Monday night on Northeast Sandy.

According to Portland Police, officers arrived at the scene of the accident east of 205 just before 10 p.m. They found that there had been an accident involving a car and a person; the person was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver remained at the scene and the accident is under investigation. Sandy Boulevard has been closed in that area while officers investigate.
