Man killed in traffic accident in Armstrong County

A man died in an accident in Armstrong County on Monday evening.

TribLive news partner WTAE reported that a 60-year-old driver was killed in the crash in Parker, while his passenger was flown to a local hospital.

The accident occurred on Monday shortly after 5 p.m. along North River Avenue.

According to a report from WTAE, Brian Ochs of Silgo was driving northbound when he struck a railing and then crossed into the southbound lane, where he collided with another vehicle.

According to police, the driver of the second vehicle suffered minor injuries.

The Armstrong County coroner said Ochs was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and his vehicle was likely traveling at a high rate of speed, WTAE reports.
