Buffalo Wild Wings GO in preparation for Sterling

It appears another Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant is in the works for Loudoun County – only this latest location will have a new twist.

The Burn has learned that plans are underway to bring a Buffalo Wild Wings GO restaurant east of Sterling. The GO concept is a realization and a delivery only. In other words: no dining room, no sit-down service, etc.

According to documents filed with the county, the new Buffalo Wild Wings GO will be built in the Clock Tower Center on Route 7 in Sterling.

Since the pandemic, many restaurant brands have been looking for ways to expand their takeout and delivery businesses. One solution is to rent smaller spaces with room for just a kitchen and a small customer area out front.

Panera Bread recently opened a small Panera Bread to Go restaurant in Chantilly, off Route 50.with the same type of configuration.

The new Buffalo Wild Wings GO is still in the application phase at this point, so it’s unclear when it might open. But given the new store’s smaller footprint and simpler operations, once construction begins, it should move quickly.
