Detectives investigate fatal accident in Greenwood

Seattle Police detectives are investigating a fatal crash in the Greenwood neighborhood this afternoon.

At 3:24 p.m., patrol officers along with the Seattle Fire Department (SFD) responded to a multi-vehicle crash involving a motorcyclist in the 700 block of North 80th Street.

The motorcycle reportedly drove recklessly in traffic and collided with several vehicles before coming to a stop underneath a vehicle.

The SFD provided medical assistance to the motorcyclist. Despite all life-saving measures, the adult man succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

The officers cordoned off the area and detectives from the traffic accident investigation department arrived at the scene of the accident.
