3 people, including a minor, arrested after car meet in Philadelphia – NBC10 Philadelphia

According to police, three people were arrested at a car rally in Philadelphia with around 200 people and 100 cars, one of them a minor.

Alex Collins, 18, James Campitelli, 19, and an unidentified 16-year-old boy were arrested and charged with criminal conspiracy, failure to disperse, disorderly conduct and related offenses, police said.

On Sunday, around 7:42 p.m., police responded to a 911 call from the 500 block of Adams Avenue in the Crescentville neighborhood where an officer was surrounded by a large crowd.

According to police, the crowd was involved in a car accident and passers-by surrounded the police car, whereupon the police turned on their blue lights and sirens to disperse the crowd.

According to the officer, at this point the youth blocked the officer by standing in front of the car, leaning on the hood and signaling to the officers with his finger that they would not be allowed through.

When additional officers arrived, the teen ran and got into a gray Infiniti G35 driven by Collins, of Honey Brook, with Campitelli, of Douglasville, in the passenger seat, police said.

The Infiniti tried to get away but was unable to drive away due to the crowded parking lot. The car was then stopped and the teen tried to flee on foot but was caught, police said.

The Infiniti was towed and all occupants were taken into custody.
