Identities of three people killed in DuPage crashes revealed

Authorities have determined the identities of three people killed in two car crashes in DuPage County last week.

Riley C. Smith, 21, of Carol Stream, and Isaias Flores, 27, of West Chicago, died Friday evening in a car crash on North Avenue near West Chicago, the DuPage County Coroner’s Office said.

Claire Bonga, 15, died late Wednesday night in a crash near Geneva and Indian Knoll roads near West Chicago, according to the Cook County Coroner’s Office.

According to a spokesperson for Wheaton Warrenville Unit District 200, Bonga was a sophomore at Wheaton North High School.

The DuPage County Sheriff’s Office is investigating both accidents. On Monday, a sheriff’s spokesman declined to answer questions or provide information about the accidents.
