Police investigate two attempted car break-ins in Summit

Summit Police are searching for the person or persons involved in attempted car break-ins.

According to police, a man was observed breaking into vehicles at a home on Iris Road. The incident was captured on the home’s doorbell security camera. Homeowners reported to police over the weekend that the suspect was observed breaking into and searching unlocked cars parked in the driveway.

According to police, a similar incident occurred on the same street. A man was filmed attempting to open two cars parked in a nearby driveway. Both vehicles were locked, according to police.

In both cases, the suspect was observed leaving the crime scene on foot. No items were taken.
