Meadowview shooting: 2 more arrests

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Two more people have been arrested in connection with a shooting in Meadowview that left five people hospitalized.

The shooting occurred on May 27 in the area of ​​Coral Gables Court and Meadowview Road. Four adults and one minor were shot and taken to the hospital. All were in stable condition at the end of the night and were expected to survive.

Jayovanni Head, one of the people shot that night, was arrested on May 29 as a possible suspect and charged with assault.

Police announced two more arrests on June 3. Charles Head, 42, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and India Thomas, 29, was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. Police said neither Thomas nor Head were among those shot on May 27.

Both suspects were taken to the county jail.
