Rape: Two arrested for raping 9th grade girl | Chennai News

Chennai: Madipakkam police have arrested two teenagers under various sections of the Pocso Act for raping a Class 9 student and threatening to upload nude photos and videos of her on social media. According to police, the survivor, a Class 9 student, is eight months pregnant and has been admitted to a hospital in the city. According to police, the incident took place when the girl visited the house of one of the accused – Abhishek – with her parents. During the visit, Abhishek placed a hidden camera in the toilet of his house and filmed the girl while she was using it. He then called her and threatened to post the videos online if she did not comply with his demands. Abhishek later informed his friend Nitish about the camera footage and the two raped the girl repeatedly. This came to light when the student fell ill and her parents took her to the hospital for a check-up. The doctors found that the student was eight months pregnant and when questioned, she narrated everything that had happened since the visit to Abhishek’s house. The hospital administration informed the police and a case was registered under the Pocso Act. The two were remanded in judicial custody.
