According to court documents, Earls Jr.’s bail was reduced to $90,000 at Monday’s hearing on murder and aggravated assault charges.

The 2022 incident occurred when Earls was robbed at gunpoint at the Chase Bank at the intersection of Winkler and Woodridge, police said.

Authorities said he fired several shots at the pickup truck Alvarez’s family drove past the bank while simultaneously shooting the thief, killing the girl.

In July 2022, Earls was released after a grand jury declined to indict him on aggravated assault charges.

His next court hearing is on July 24.
