Coroner identifies woman struck and killed by car on South Union Avenue in March

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) – The Kern County Coroner’s Office has determined the identity of a 49-year-old woman who was struck and killed by a car on South Union Avenue in late March.

According to the coroner’s office, Anita Cecilia Hinojosa, 49, of Bakersfield was struck by a vehicle in the area of ​​7800 South Union Avenue on March 29. She was pronounced dead at the scene more than an hour later.


According to authorities, Hinojosa’s cause of death was numerous blunt force injuries and an accident.

The Bakersfield Police Department is investigating this incident.
