Jeremy Renner spent two weeks in the hospital and went through months of healing and rehabilitation. He has returned to his normal life and career and has almost completed filming for the next season Mayor of Kingstown. His co-star on the show, Michael Beach, had nothing but good things to say about Renner in an interview with The Direct.

During his interview, Beach went into details about Renner’s horrific snowplow accident Mission impossible what the actor revealed to him during their conversations on set. Beach announced that Renner had actually died (clinically) at the time of the accident. Beach added that Renner broke 38 bones when he was crushed by the snowcat.

Despite all these injuries, Beach admired Renner for his quick and strong recovery. He called Renner a war horse who felt stronger and stronger with each week of his recovery. Beach also added that the actor continued to go through the process even though he didn’t know how it would turn out. Beach told The Direct’s Russ Milheim:

“Jeremy (Renner) is a war horse, man. I mean, this guy broke 38 bones. He actually died, which I didn’t know until he told me, and he came back. And he says he’s not sure what it would be like. But he was ready. And he says every week he feels stronger and stronger. And there was no interruption based on his physical ability or not. He’s there and doing it. He is great. Yeah, he’s a great guy, man. And he’s really badass.”

Michael Beach plays Kingstown Prison’s temporary warden, Captain Kareem Mayor of Kingstown. He revealed that Renner’s nephew, who he tried to save from the 14,330-pound snowplow, now plays a role in the series.

Michael Beach also shared an update about it Mayor of Kingstown. The series now needs just a month to complete filming for the third season. Beach also added that he liked how the world of Kingstown was fleshed out in the series. Bleach revealed that he frequently emailed the series’ writers about his character on the series to ensure that he did not repeat something he had already done. Bleach shared:

“We still have about a month left (of filming)… It’s great. Because I mean, that’s what I love, the writing, the harshness of the world we live in in Mayor of Kingstown. And so I just love it. And I’m constantly emailing the authors and stuff about, well, what about blah, blah, blah, you know, and I’m sure I’m getting on their nerves. But I really want to try to make sure I’m making sense and not redoing something I’ve already done.”

Fans got to see Renner’s voice role in the Marvel animated series What if…? last December. He also starred alongside his daughter in a Super Bowl commercial, where he demonstrated some moves that showcased his physical fitness.
