Two fetuses found in MTA bus in Baltimore, police said

Authorities are currently investigating after two fetuses were found on a city bus in Baltimore over the weekend, police said.

Shortly after 12:30 p.m. Saturday, a Maryland Transit Administration bus driver discovered a fetus on a seat inside the bus, Baltimore police said in a statement provided to USA TODAY.

Initial reports said only one fetus was found on the bus, but police confirmed on Monday that a second fetus was found. The police department did not provide any information on when the second fetus was found.

The police also declined to comment on how far the fetuses’ pregnancy had progressed.

MTA police, Eastern District officers and homicide detectives responded to the call. Homicide detectives took over the case.

The fetuses were transferred to the medical examiner’s office. USA TODAY has contacted the medical examiner’s office for comment.

The investigation is ongoing and this article will be updated as more information becomes available.
