Missy Hyatt revealed that she herself had an incident with Vince McMahon during her brief stint with the WWF several decades ago.

Hyatt (real name Melissa Hiatt) gave two interviews with WSI (Wrestling Shoot Interviews) and Café de Rene last week in which she described McMahon trying to kiss her in a hotel room in 1987.

In early 1987, Hyatt was hired for a series of segments called “Missy’s Manor” that were filmed at various tapings but ultimately never aired on television. Hyatt noted that the segments were “so awful” and did not fit her character well. This coincided with Roddy Piper’s completion of WrestleMania that year and attempted to fill the void of Piper’s Pit after he left.

In an interview with WSI, Hyatt recalled a night in Las Vegas after filming the first part of “Missy’s Manor” and going out to dinner with McMahon and a large group of people.

Hyatt mentioned in her 2001 book that Dick Ebersol was among them, adding that Gene Okerlund was also there.

Later that night, Hyatt said, “I had to push Vince out of my hotel room” because he tried to “stick his tongue in my mouth.” Hyatt noted that she was engaged at the time (to Eddie Gilbert; they married in October 1987) and did not want to cheat on him.

Hyatt did not reveal the hotel room incident in her book, but praised McMahon during her brief tenure.

According to History of WWE, Hyatt taped segments from Missy’s Manor on March 21 in Las Vegas, March 22 in Phoenix and April 23 in Worcester.

Hyatt said that after turning down McMahon’s offer, she was offered a smaller role as “Federette,” a group of female actresses who took the ring jackets into the background. Hyatt was not interested in the role and left.

In both recent interviews, Hyatt stated that she spoke with Janel Grant’s attorney and offered to testify as a witness to describe McMahon’s behavior.

Hyatt’s alleged incident occurred about eight months after former referee Rita Chatterton alleged that she was raped by McMahon in a limousine. McMahon reached a settlement with Chatterton earlier this year.

POST Wrestling has reached out to Janel Grant’s representative for comment on Hyatt’s contact.
